Fuel Stationery

DESIGNED 1999

Founded in the Mid-90s, Fuel (not to be confused with Fuel TV or the British design studio of the same name) was a production company specializing in design for broadcast and film and was instrumental in shaping the Westcoast motion graphics industry as it exists now.

This identity was designed around their existing, then well established logomark. The design centers around issues of energy and motion. I consciously avoided TV design clichees like Photoshop artwork, light and motion blurs and focussed on using very print-specific techniques like intricate line art, overprints, metallic inks and symbolic illustrations. The series included tape packaging as its most important sales instrument, as well as ordinary office stationery.

Business cards and tape packaging.
